The prices of the agglomeration are also rising

After the housing market in Hungary performed particularly poorly last year, demand has started this year and prices have also started to rise. According to the data of one of the largest domestic real estate management companies, prices in the Budapest agglomeration have also moved this year: so far, average square meter prices have risen by around 8%. In the mentioned region, an average square meter of real estate now costs HUF 640,000.

Although the intense wave of emigration started due to Covid has stopped. The average price of a property in the agglomeration was HUF 69.6 million in the first three months of this year. 10 percent more than in the same period of 2023.

The most expensive region around Budapest is still the area northwest of the capital: Piliscsaba, Solymár, Budakeszi, Törökbálint and the Dunakanyar. The region southeast of Budapest is the cheapest: Maglód and its surroundings, where the average price per square meter is HUF 508,000.
