The demand for properties worth 200-500 million has grown enormously. According to ingatlan.com, the demand for properties over 200 million has increased by 16% in Budapest and by 25% (!) in the county seats. But who buys an apartment or a house for that much?
According to a change in the law, a person from outside the EU who buys a residential property worth at least 500,000 euros is entitled to a so-called investor visa. Therefore, those who are able to buy high-value real estate in Hungary will also be entitled to unlimited entry according to a new law.
Thanks to this, although most foreign buyers still come from the EU, there are also more and more American, British, Turkish, Swiss and Indonesian investors.
According to the latest data, more than 8,500 residential properties worth more than HUF 200 million await them in Hungary.
