Here are five simple ways to make your home healthier:
1. Scrap your kitchen
Kitchen cupboards and pantries are notorious for becoming a collection point for rarely used items. Therefore, check your cupboards, pantry, fridge and freezer and say goodbye to everything that has been there unopened for more than 3 months. Give away “emergency” canned goods, “what if they come” snacks. Once your shelves are empty, start buying fresh food, but only as much as you will eat in 2-3 days. Go to the store more often, buy more carefully and less. This way, you can eat more fresh food, reduce your waste and save money.
2. Respect your food
If you regularly find yourself standing at the kitchen counter or sitting on the couch eating your meals in front of the TV, chances are you’ve picked up bad eating habits. Have a place where you can sit down and enjoy your meal. Give me the way. By doing so, you can ensure quality time for yourself and your loved ones. Which is one of the most important sources of happiness in the long run.
3. Check the air quality
Whether it’s a living room or a bedroom, make sure the air quality is always right. Vacuum often, especially if you have pets, ventilate regularly and use an air purifier if you deem it necessary. Don’t forget about houseplants!
4. Sleep well
Many of us don’t get enough sleep, which can cause a number of health problems. Therefore, take care of the basic conditions for a restful sleep. Have a mattress that suits your needs, don’t film for a long time, keep the room cool and ensure silence. As far as this is possible, of course.
5. Have a nook
Whether it’s a small exercise area, a reading or meditation corner, everyone needs a space that’s just theirs to retreat to. Whether it’s a corner or even just an armchair, create a nook for yourself so you can switch off if you need to.
